John Edwards’ Mistress Reveals All in Interview With GQ Magazine

For four years, Rielle Hunter,45, had kept intimate details of her discreet relationship with John Edwards between herself and the former presidential candidate. However, Hunter has revealed all in an interview with GQ Magazine. She went into detail in regards to the first night that they slept together, how she became pregnant, raising their daughter and the compassion she feels for Edwards’ wife Elizabeth, who has been fighting breast cancer since 2004 according to People.com.

Hunter described the initial attraction between Edwards and herself as a magnetic force field that absolutely terrified her. The 45-year-old mistress told GQ that she knows Edwards loves her and that the love between them will not go away since it is unconditional. Interestingly enough, Hunter expressed her opinion that Edwards has rejuvenated his life and fallen into grace as opposed to falling from grace as a result of leaving his wife and achieving clarity in regards to his career aspirations.

While Hunter stated that she feels ‘such compassion’ for Edwards’ estranged wife Elizabeth, she went on to deflect blame from herself in the falling apart of their marriage. She said, “Infidelity doesn't happen in healthy marriages. The break in the marriage happens before the infidelity. And that break happened, you know, two and a half decades before I got there. So the home was wrecked already. I was not the Home Wrecker.”
