John Krasinski Engaged to Emily Blunt

John Krasinski, who stars in "The Office," is engaged to "The Devil Wears Prada" actress Emily Blunt.

According to MTV.com, the couple confirmed the engagement on Friday. The stars started dating in late 2008 after Krasinski dated "Office" costar Rashida Jones and Blunt dated singer Michael Buble for three years. Krasinski and Blunt have shared a quiet relationship as they do not talk about it to the press.

MSNBC reports that Krasinski, 29, is also engaged in "Office" -- his character Jim, that is. Jim will marry Jenna Fischer's character, Pam, and Fischer is also engaged in real life to boyfriend Lee Kirk. Fischer and Kirk have been dating since January 2008 and were engaged on June 30.

Many reactions express both happiness for and heartbreak over Krasinski's engagement, People Magazine reports. One fan wrote on Twitter, ". . . a million girls are crying right now," while another wrote, "A small part of my life is over."
