John Mayer Saves Puppies
Singer/ songwriter and guitarist John Mayer has made and lost a deal with TMZ.com about whether they could do some intense investigative reporting on finding his mug shot he earned for driving with a suspended license in 2001. The musician declared that if TMZ could find this photographic documentation of his arrest, he would donate $25,000 to charity, as The Los Angeles Times reported on Friday.
Mayer should have known better than to challenge TMZ, because the tabloid magazine discovered the picture on Thursday. As per the agreement, John Mayer will contribute to the charity of TMZ's founder, Harvey Levin's choice, which happens to be LA-based pet rescues.
Mayer made out two separate checks; one for Pet Orphans of Southern California, and one for Ace of Hearts. MTV News announced that Harvey Levin tweeted, "[John Mayer] is awesome
These two animal charities are really hurting 'cause of the economy. J.M. has just saved a bunch of lives."
