John Mayer Says Farewell to Twitter?

Anyone following John Mayer’s Twitter account knows that the singing superstar provides fans with some of the most unique and honest tweets of any celebrity on Twitter The singer usually tweets on any subject at any time of the day or night.

All throughout Wednesday, Mayer’s tweets took on a much graver tone in reaction to the singer’s controversial interview with Playboy Magazine. According to People Magazine, Mayer has sworn off media and has therefore, not appeared on Twitter since Wednesday night. Mayer went on hiatus from Twitter once before in December 2009.

Up until his last tweet, Mayer used Twitter in order to attempt at an explanation to the interview heard around the world. In addition to racial remarks, Mayer also commented on his relationship with Jessica Simpson by calling the pop singer “sexual napalm.” The singer has recently been seen in headlines for his on-and-off-again relationship with actress Jennifer Aniston.
