Johnny Knoxville Addresses ‘Jackass 3D’s’ Success on ‘Chelsea Lately’

Jackass 3D far exceeded box office estimates from film experts, generating $50 million in domestic revenue in its opening weekend. Jackass 3D daredevil, Johnny Knoxville, appeared on E!’s Chelsea Lately on Monday night to address the surprising amount of success the film has experienced thus far and the stunts that were performed for the project.

At the start of the interview, Chelsea Lately host Chelsea Handler congratulated Knoxville by saying, “I am happy for you because you are so f---ing stupid.” The stuntman laughed at Handler’s joke and she continued to poke light-hearted fun at him, stating that she was surprised he could have a baby after everything that has happened to his balls in the Jackass series.

“I did break my penis uh ... about three years ago,” Knoxville candidly revealed, according to the LA Times. “[In this movie] I had a concussion, whiplash, dislocated shoulder, stitches in my hand, and I had my molar knocked out by a dildo bazooka.”

An awkward moment occurred during the interview when he responded to Handler’s question about whether he had a 14-year-old daughter by saying, “Yes ma’am.” The host of the 2010 MTV VMAs snapped and demanded, “Please don’t call me ma’am,” while darting a look at the camera.

Knoxville apologized and said, “I’m from the South!” to which she replied, “I know, I know, but I’m not.”
