Johnston Talks Breakup on "Good Morning America"
According to ABC News, Levi Johnston said that there is a chance that he and Bristol Palin could reestablish a relationship.
Johnston, 19, commented on the details of his split with Palin, 18, on ABC's Good Morning America, Friday. He said, "We were just, we were in a fight and trying to see if we can make things work. But this is what it kind of ended up turning into. But we'll see what happens."
Johnston said he felt the pair needed to mature a bit before following through on their marriage plans. "It's just us not, me not, being mature enough, or something, and having a kid and thinking . . . it could be better -- better for us to separate for a while," Johnston explained.
The duo garnered a lot of attention when it was announced Palin was pregnant, just days after her mother, Sarah, was chosen as John McCain's running mate during the election last year. Palin birthed Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston on Dec. 27, 2008. Johnston is able to visit his son, and says he would "give anything for [Tripp], to be with him."
