Jolie Reportedly Reunites with Her Father

The Jolie-Pitt clan has been living in Venice, Italy, where they received a surprising visitor over the weekend: Angelina Jolie’s father, Jon Voight.

Jolie and Voight have been estranged for years, but sources are saying the father and daughter have finally reconciled. They are shown together in a photo taken in Venice, along with Brad Pitt and their oldest daughter, Zahara.

According to a source close to the couple, Pitt played a significant part in reuniting Jolie with her father.

“Since (Pitt and Jolie) have been together, Brad has been encouraging Angie to smooth things over with her dad,” the source told MSNBC. “And when it comes to the kids, Brad wants them to know their grandfather the way the kids know his parents.” Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died in 2007 of ovarian cancer.

The family has been living in Venice for Jolie’s upcoming film The Tourist, opposite Johnny Depp.
