Jon Bon Jovi to Sing for Hillary Clinton
Hillary Clinton might have lost the chance to be the first female President of the United States, but she shouldn't worry. Jon Bon Jovi will be there to serenade the pain away.
The Associated Press reports that the Bon Jovi front man will sing at a fund-raiser for the New York senator as she closes out her campaign debt. As of last month, the total was $6.3 million.
The performance will be held on Jan. 15 at Town Hall in New York City. The event is being billed as "a final evening in support of Hillary Clinton for President Debt Relief."
Clinton needs to clear all of her campaign debt in order to be confirmed officially as President-elect Barack Obama's choice for secretary of state. According to federal ethics rules, Cabinet officials can't actively solicit campaign contributions. Clinton actually wrote off personal loans to the campaign, totaling $13.1 million.
Prices for tickets to the event range from $75 to $1,000.
