Is Jon Gosselin’s Christmas Break-in Too Much of a Coincidence?
Was Jon Gosselin's break-in a publicity stunt?
Just when we thought the drama was winding down, at least in the headlines, Jon Gosselin’s name and image hits the news front hard again.
When Gosselin returned to his NYC apartment after spending the Christmas holiday with his eight children, he discovered that his apartment had been vandalized—things were missing, clothes and curtains were shredded. His lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, called the incident “vicious, mean spirited and heartless.”
How “vicious” was this crime? Some aren’t so sure this was a crime at all, but more like a publicity stunt for the reality dad.
Hailey Glassman was the first suspected of being responsible for the break-in after her name was allegedly signed onto a note “speared” to the dresser, People reported. Glassman’s attorney, Stephanie Ovadia, said that the whole incident “appears to be a publicity stunt” and the public seems to agree.
In a poll conducted by People.com, 72 percent of voters believe that the break-in is a publicity stunt for Gosselin. Perhaps he realized his 15 minutes of fame were up?
Whatever the case, this will keep Gosselin in the news while the finger pointing continues and authorities investigate the break-in.
