Jon Gosselin Claims "Abuse" On Tonight's Primetime Live
In an exclusive interview to air this evening on ABC's Primetime Live, Family Secrets, reality "star" Jon Gosselin reveals never-before known details of his marriage to wife Kate and life in a fishbowl.
Gosselin reveals in an interview with Chris Cuomo that former wife Kate verbally abused him and berated him consistently during their ten-year marraige.
He also uses harsh words for his ex-like "despise" when asked about her. Gosselin also accuses Kate of taking his wedding ring. He states he put the ring down one day in the house the couple share in Pennsylvania and it vanished. He also believes no one else could have taken it.
"I don't have the ring," Gosselin said in the interview. "So I laid it down one night. It was gone. Who else would take it? I checked all the -- underneath my kids' pillows. That's where everything ends up in the house anyway. So it wasn't there.
This is Gosselin's first television interview since divorce papers between the two reality show "stars" were filed in June. Gosselin has kept a high profile since his separation from Kate, with trips overseas, a high-profile romance with the much-younger Hailey Glassman (daughter of the surgeon who performed his ex's tummy tuck) and a new expensive apartment in New York City.
During the run of the show, Gosselin stated repeatedly he did not like media attention.
Both his and Kate's relationship has gotten to the point, he said, that the two have to shoot the show separately. "We film it separately," Gosselin said t Chris Cuomo. "She has her film crew. And I have my film crew. But I can't sit on the sofa with that woman. I can't sit on someone right now that I despise."
In a statement released to ABC News, Kate Gosselin said she did believe in drawing a line between public and private.
"While I certainly have a very different perception of how our marriage dissolved, for the sake of my children I maintain that I'm not going to go into details of aspects I believe should remain private," Kate Gosselin stated in the statement.
