Jon Gosselin Is Suing TLC for $5 Million
Jon Gosselin filed a $5 million lawsuit against TLC, according to People magazine.
Gosselin claims the television network's representatives damaged his reputation and, by extension, his career, making it impossible for him to work with other media outlets. The reality television star said the representatives for TLC contacted the other media outlets and persuaded them from making deals with Gosselin.
TLC filed a lawsuit against Jon Gosselin claiming he is in violation of the contract by making television appearances without their permission.
Gosselin's claim, which was made as a counterclaim against TLC's lawsuit, also states TLC broke its own contract rules and owes him $175,000 for already aired shows.
The television network had a contract with Gosselin for the reality show, "Jon and Kate Plus Eight," which said for every half-hour episode he would be paid $22,500 and $45,000 for every one-hour episode.
The court hearing is scheduled for December 14.
