Jon Gosselin's Inappropriate Actions May Get Him In Trouble
Jon Gosselin, reality TV star for the hit TLC show "Jon and Kate Plus 8" has been taking desperate measures to line his once stuffed pockets. Now that he's out of a job, Jon has taken to draining money out of the joint bank account he share's with soon-to-be divorced wife Kate Gosselin, reports abcnews.com.
According to statements by Kate Gosselin, Jon has withdrawn upwards of $200,000 dollars from their joint-bank account, leaving Kate with a minimal $1,000 for her own personal needs. Furthermore, Kate claims that Jon withdrew the money without authorization.
Kate's lawyer, Marty Singer, spoke to People magazine on the issue and stated that Jon hadn't notified Kate about the withdrawal despite a stipulation from the court saying it must approve such transactions before they take place.
Speaking to NBC news, Kate states, "He took $230,000 of the $231,000 we had. I have a stack of bills. The last thing I wanted was to do this show and end up not being able to pay our bills."
As of today, Kate has turned in legal papers which would force Jon Gosselin to give back all the money he allegedly took. Not only that, Singer is advocating that Jon be held in contempt for his actions.
Filming for the show has since shut down after Jon's attorney sent a cease-and-desist letter to TLC producer's on Thursday.
