Jon Stewart's Take on the Convention

Stewart says it doesn't matter to the show who wins in November.

It's that time, the Daily Show is setting up to preside over the Democratic National Convention, and according to Reuters.com, its host, Jon Stewart, is set in the realism of the show's situation.

Stewart says, "For our show, it's absolutely irrelevant who's president."

For the show, there is only one thing that the host has confidence in as it begins it's telecast from the convention. Stewart says, "The jokes will be there, I'm confident."

Stewart even doubted the seriousness of his show's impact when talking about the treatment of frequent guest McCain who apparently has no complaints. "My guess is that it's not particularly on his radar."

He continued, jokingly, that the show was "here to introduce him to 20-year-olds smoking out of apple bongs."

On a more serious note, Stewart says of the two men running for president, "I think they'll both govern from a place that is far less imperious."

Stewart has never hidden that he dislikes the current Bush administration that he feels hasn't governed with public honor.

Stewart has more hope for the two candidates who are up for the White House seat now, saying, "I think they would both be decent presidents."

That being said, Stewart won't say who he is voting for, only that he thinks he has made up his mind.
