Grobanites all over the world will now have a reason to watch The Office. Today, NBC announced that the singer would be taking a guest spot on this season of the show.
Groban will be starring as Andy’s (Ed Helms) brother, according to E! Online. There is no word on how many episodes he will appear in, though.
Deadline reports that Stephen Collins and Dee Wallace are also joining the cast to appear as Andy Bernard’s parents. Seeing as most of these new casting moves center around Helms’ character, it could leave open speculation that he might be the one taking over Michael Scott’s job as branch manager.
As for Groban, this will be his first acting appearance on television since his role on Ally McBeal ten years ago. It also follows his role in this summer’s Crazy, Stupid, Love. He also appeared on Glee last season as himself.
