Josh Groban to guest star on 'The Office'

The Office will welcome Josh Groban to the cast when he makes an appearance on the upcoming eighth season of the NBC comedy series.

The 30-year-old singer’s role was revealed on The Office actress Mindy Kaling’s Twitter account.

She tweeted: “The amazing @joshgroban came from the Staples Center to our set to play Andy’s little brother. Stay tuned this season to meet the Bernards!”

Groban tweeted back with, “@mindykaling worth every lost wink! Thanks to you and the whole gang for the warm welcome. #Bernard4life.”

Actor Ed Helms plays the role of Andy Bernard, the quirky a capella group singer from Cornell University, so we can only image how Groban’s character will turn out.

The next season of The Office will premiere on September 22 on NBC. This will be the first season since actor Steve Carrell’s departure from the show.
