Josh Groban's "Noel" 2007's Top Selling Album
Every December, of course, record stores are inundated with tons of compact discs by a million artists jumping on the bandwagon to release their own personal holiday recording. Some are regular types you would expect to see, but the more interesting ones are the ones that are just out of left field.
Doe-eyed classic vocalist Josh Groban has the top selling album of 2007. His fourth studio album "Noel," a Christmas holiday recording, has spent a reigning four consecutive weeks atop The Billboard 200 album music chart.
Billboard.com reports, that Groban's "Noel" has surpassed the previous three week record held by Elvis Presley, making it the only holiday album ever to rule the top of the charts for four weeks consecutively.
Groban's "Noel" is traditional holiday fare with gospel choir highlights, symphonic delights and slick David Foster production.
