Josh Hartnett to Star in West End's Rain Man
Josh Hartnett will take a role originated by Tom Cruise to the stage.
Actor Josh Hartnett will join the ever-growing list of stars to make the jump from the screen to the stage.
Playbill is reporting that Hartnett will make his West End debut in a new stage version of Rain Man.
The 1998 Oscar-winning film has been reimagined by writer Dan Gordon and director David Grindley for the stage, and is reset in the present day.
Hartnett will play Charlie Babbitt with British actor Adam Godley as his autistic older brother, Raymond.
The show will begin performances at the Apollo Theatre Aug. 28 prior to an official opening on Sept. 9.
