Judge Blocks Project Runway's Move to Lifetime

The show had been on Bravo.

Project Runway was originally thought to be leaving Bravo, after the season that is currently airing, for Lifetime at the beginning of the year.

But now, a New York judge has granted a preliminary injuction on Friday, which stops the Weinstein Co. from moving the Heidi Klum-hosted reality show to Lifetime (or any network).

Production on the sixth season of the show (which was originally scheduled to air in January) is still going, even though the fate of the show is entirely up in the air.

"The overwhelming evidence demonstrated that The Weinstein Company violated NBC Universal's right of first refusal to future cycles of 'Project Runway,'" NBC Universal said in a statement. "After hearing all of the evidence, the court issued an order prohibiting The Weinstein Company from taking the show or any spinoff to Lifetime."

Stay tuned.
