Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Against Stephenie Meyer
The lawsuit against Stephenie Meyer was officially dismissed by judge, reported TMZ.
A judge told vampire book author, Jordan Scott, her allegations about Meyer taking her ideas from her book were deceptive and "completely unfounded."
The "Twilight" author was accused on August of having stolen the idea for the last book "Breaking Dawn" from Scott's "The Nocturne," which was allegedly published in 2006.
On August Scott sent Meyer a cease and desist letter to the publisher of "Breaking Dawn" claiming striking similarities between the two books. The scenes between the two books which she said were similar included a sex scene after the wedding, and a sick woman carrying a child with powers.
Scott was suing for damages, and impounding of the "Breaking Dawn" books.
The case and charges were officially dismissed after the judge said Scott manipulated aspects of the "subject works in order to create the appearance of similarity."
