Judge Imposes Restraining Order Against Spears's Paparazzo Ex
Adnan Ghalib, ex-boyfriend of pop princess Britney Spears, has been ordered by a Los Angeles judge to stay away from Spears and her family for three years.
According to the Associated Press, Superior Court Judge Aviva K. Bobb signed the restraining order after a brief hearing on Wednesday afternoon, which requires Ghalib to stay at least 250 yards away from Spears, 27, her sons and her parents until March 17, 2012. Bobb also extended a temporary restraining order against the singer's former self-appointed manager, Sam Lutfi, until April 1.
The move was sought after Jamie Spears, the artist's father, alleged that Ghalib and Lutfi were seeking to undermine his legal conservatorship over his daughter. The two were companions of Ms. Spears during the controversial period where Spears shaved her head and had to be briefly hospitalized for her erratic behavior.
Ghalib was one of the many photographers who trailed Spears at the high point of her career and the pair met in 2007. He is also facing felony charges for assault with a deadly weapon after reportedly hitting a process server with his car last month, reports NME.com. Allegedly, the process server was trying to deliver Ghalib the restraining order documents at the time of the assault.
