Julianne Hough Gets Tough With New Partner

Dancing star won't go easy on her new partner just because they're dating.

Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Julianne Hough isn't going to go easy on her new partner, country singer Chuck Wicks. The pairing is unique, as Wicks and Hough are dating.

According to People.com, the couple will be competing for the infamous mirror-ball trophy on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars," and Hough is in it to win – for a third time.

"I might kick him in the butt a little harder than with my other partners!" Hough said. "I'm definitely a 'crack the whip' type of person."

Her tough teaching style surprised Wicks, who wants to be treated no differently than any other dance partner of Hough's. "He was like, 'Wow, you're really tough!'" she said. "But he says, 'I don't want you to treat me any differently than any of your other partners.'"

At first, Hough wasn't too sure about dancing with her new boyfriend, but changed her mind when she saw the benefits. "We never get to spend much time together," Hough said. "On the show, we'll be together 24 hours a day. We're a really good team off stage, so I think it will be fun."

Hough seems pretty impressed with Wicks so far, adding, "To be honest, he's actually really good. He's never really danced before – well, he told me he does a mean electric slide, but I never saw it!"

Wicks and Hough aren't the only couple in the competition, though. Singer Jewel and husband Ty Murray will also compete on the show.

As for competition between the two real-life couple, Hough said "We went on tour with Jewel last year and we're all friends. We'll definitely be rooting for each other."
