Just ask the Sheik
According to his publicist Raymond K. Bain, Michael Jackson has lined up an all-star roster for his latest charity single, this one for the victims of hurricane Katrina. The song tentatively titled "From the Bottom of My Heart" will reportedly feature Jay-Z, Ciara, Lenny Kravitz, R. Kelly, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliot, Snoop Dogg and James Brown.
Jackson's most recent attempt to put together a charity single after 9/11 entitled "What More Can I Give?" was unsuccessful. The new song is expected to be recorded on "2 Seas Records", the label of Sheik Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa son of the King of Bahrain and Jackson's host over the last few weeks. The only problem is publicists for the aforementioned artists were quick to say that nothing has been finalized. Jay-Z's publicist, Jana Fleischman said Jay had "been approached, but has not yet confirmed to be on that song."
Oddly, to prove that everyone had been personally asked by Jackson to partake in the song his publicist passed the phone to Sheik Abdulla who remarked to the interviewer "He made every single call himself."
