Justice Begins For Anna Nicole Smith's Son

A trial is set to determine Daniel Smith's cause of death.

Anna Nicole Smith and her son Daniel Smith may not be able to participate, but those alive may still find justice in a trial set to determine Daniel Smith's cause of death. Smith died on September 10th, 2006, while visiting his mother and sister Dannielynn. It was determined by a private investigation that Daniel died from an overdose of drugs. A jury was selected Tuesday in the Nassau court of the Bahamas, and the case will begin on November 19th. Magistrate William Campbell makes it clear that the jury's only duty is to find the cause of death. Depending on what the jury decides, they can then recommend the case be heard in criminal court.

Anna Nicole Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur, has stated on more than one occasion that she believes Daniel's death was not a simple case of an overdose. She also has insisted that attorney Howard K. Stern, Anna Nicole Smith's boyfriend, had a role in both deaths, but no evidence has surfaced.
