Justin Bieber Avoids Arrest After Hitting State Trooper with a Water Balloon

MSNBC.com reports that Justin Bieber threw a water balloon at a state trooper and walked away penalty-free!

Witnesses say the Maryland state trooper was soaked via direct water balloon hit by none other than Bieber himself. However, the singing sensation’s bodyguard talked the cop out of slapping the cuffs on him post sold-out performance at the Maryland State Fair.

The officer was in the crowd as part of a unit assigned to the concert for crowd control and happened to be hit in the crotch by Bieber as he was slinging water balloons at the crowd from backstage.

After the hit, Bieber retreated to his trailer while his bodyguard talked him out of an arrest that would ruin his squeaky clean record.

Although the singer thought it was hilarious, tweeting later that night, “still laughing, GREAT DAY,” a state police spokesperson called the behavior on Sunday “inappropriate.”

After the concert, Bieber flew from Baltimore, Maryland to Los Angeles to start rehearsing for his performance at the MTV VMAs this Sunday, where he is nominated for Best New Artist.
