Kanye West apologizes for VMA outburst

After interrupting an acceptance speech made by Taylor Swift, West reaches out to make things right.

After the Kanye West fiasco on Sunday night's VMA awards, the women of "The View" were more than happy to hear just what the young Taylor Swift was thinking. Swift told the ladies that at first she was very excited and all she wanted to do was make sure that she didn't fall. She even said that if the rapper were to apologize she would accept it, but at the time he hadn't reached out.

Soon after, West personally dropped Swift a line to voice his apology. For some time after the incident he had posted apologies over and over on his blog.

According to ABC News, after appearing on "The Jay Leno Show," he said "it was rude, period." He added "I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I'm going to make it through the rest of this life."

Nonetheless Swift seemed in good spirits and announced "Kanye did call me and he was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted that apology."
