Kanye West: My Album Cover Was Banned by Wal-Mart

Kanye West never fails to stir up controversy; this time it involves his album cover for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Retail giant Wal-Mart has reportedly banned the cover due to its sexual and suggestive imagery, according to West himself. The cover contains two people that seem to be nude who don’t have arms. What appears to be a sort of woman figure has a tail and wings, which seems to be a "beautiful dark twisted fantasy."

West tweeted Sunday: "Yoooo they banned my album cover!!!!! Ima tweet in a few... Banned in the USA!!! They don't want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix!"

He then posted the cover on his Twitter feed and finished his rant, saying, "In the 70s album covers had actual nudity...It's so funny that people forget that...Everything has been so commercialized now. I know that cover just blew yall minds...I wish yall could see how hard I'm smiling right now!!!"

His final rant-filled tweet said, "In all honesty…I really don't be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers #kanyeshrug!" he said. "I wanna sell albums but not at the expense of my true creativity."
