Kanye West: "Not the New King of Pop"

The death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, left many wondering who would take his throne. However, hip-hop artist Kanye West says that he is not the successor. "I was just listening to (radio host) Wendy Williams and heard some quote about me saying I'm the new King of Pop," wrote West. "Not only did I not say that, I haven't said anything."

According to MSNBC, Kanye West was very angry that people would think he would say that after the death of legendary icon Michael Jackson. "It scares me to think what people will believe, without even a source. Any random person can type something on the Internet and then the world believes it. I don't talk to press or do TV or do promotions of any sort. I've stopped chasing and buying into fame," said West.

According to MSNBC, West feels that this is not the last time that an incident similar to this will occur and he also says that it will be the last time he will defend himself.
