Kanye West Pleads Not Guilty to Paparazzi Feud Charges

Eight months after Kanye West was arrested for a brawl with the paparazzi, he is pleading "not guilty."

On September 11, 2008, Kanye West, 31, was arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport for misdemeanor vandalism, battery and grand theft. According to People magazine, West did not attend court, but his lawyer, Blair Berk, showed up on his behalf.

Also arrested during this incident at LAX was West's road manager, Don "Don C" Crowley, 33. Crowley was charged with two counts of West's three same crimes. Reports of the incident indicate that while the two men were attempting to board a flight to Hawaii, they were approached by a TMZ crew.

Video of the altercation shows both Crowley and West wrestling a camera – reported to be worth about $10,000 – from a photographer. The video also shows Crowly appearing to throw the camera to the ground while West is seen destroying the camera's flash. Allegedly, it is reported that Crowley broke another photographer's camera.

According to MTV.com, if convicted on the existing misdemeanor counts, West could possibly face up to two and a half years in jail, as Crowley could face up to five years.

The next hearing for West and Crowley is set for July 15, 2009.
