Kanye West says best music video not nominated for VMAs
Kanye West said one of the best music videos of the year was not nominated for any awards at this year's MTV Video Music Awards - though he might be a little bit biased because it was one of his videos.
Even though his "Gold Digger" video was nominated for several awards, West told the Associated Press his best video was "Touch the Sky;" which featured Pam Anderson and West as an Evel Knievel type person.
"It didn't get any nominations, but it's one of the most memorable videos of the year for me," he said Tuesday night, speaking backstage to the AP before performing at an exclusive concert for American Express cardholders.
West said he doesn't make the video to increase sales. "I'm not trying to be No. 1; I'm trying to make something that lasts forever, something that's really memorable," he told the AP.
