Kanye West Writes a Song for Taylor Swift and Apologizes Yet Again
At the 2009 MTV VMAs, Taylor Swift won the award for Best Female Video. When Swift took the stage and started to make her acceptance speech, rapper Kanye West snatched the microphone and interrupted her to say, “Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’m going to let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!”
After cutting Swift’s acceptance speech short, most viewers described West's actions as disrespectful.
West apologized shortly after the VMAs and nearly one year later, he has issued another apology.
According to People, Kanye West has written a song for Swift. He tweeted Saturday, “I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that is so beautiful I want her to have it.”
“If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her.”
West also went on to write, “She deserves an apology more than anyone,” and called her “just a lil girl with dreams like the rest of us."
