Kanye's Still Sorry for VMA Outburst against Taylor Swift
News of Kanye West’s outburst during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards has seemed to fizzle out until this past Labor Day weekend. West began a series of apologetic statements aimed at Taylor Swift on his Twitter account.
In a series of tweets, West wrote, “There's a layer of... Entertainment... we are entertainers and this is only TV... not the War... Why was it made into such a race issue. Taylor loves rap music... I love country music… I wish they all knew how much I really cared about music and pop culture and art and peoples feelings.”
West concludes the strand of tweets regarding Swift by saying, “It starts with this... I’m sorry Taylor.”
While it appears that West feels deeply apologetic and is publicly displaying his emotion, he has taken his remorse to another level by announcing a song that he has written for Swift. “I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that's so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won't take it then I'll perform it for her,” says Kanye.
Swift has yet to comment on whether or not a collaboration with West will happen, or even if they are on peaceful terms.
