Kara DioGuardi is Officially Returning to "American Idol"

With "American Idol" set to premiere this January, another one of it's judges is returning. The newest judge, Kara DioGuardi will be on "American Idol" for season 9.

"We are so happy to welcome back Kara for her second season with Idol," Simon Fuller, the creator and executive producer of the show said.

"She is a breath of fresh air, and her passion for music and her understanding of talent is invaluable. This show is all about discovering new talent, and Kara's championing of Adam Lambert is proof positive of her great instinct." Fuller goes on to say about DioGuardi.

"Kara brings her own special style and sensibility to the show, which includes her innate talent to identify, nurture and direct a performer's potential. We're very pleased with her contributions as the fourth judge on the panel." Fuller finishes off.

So far, three of the four judges are signed on along with Ryan Seacrest to do season 9 of "American Idol." Paula Abdul's fate on the show is still unknown but last month Simon Cowell said she would be on the show.

Only time will tell, but the show must go on!
