Kate Connor to Portray Her Grandmother

Actress and screenwriter to play part in film about her family during WWII.

Actress and screenwriter Kate Connor is set to play her own grandmother in a film adaptation regarding her family's survival during World War II, WENN reports.

The film is titled Fort McCoy, after the family's cabin, which was situated between a Japanese/Nazi prison camp and an army base, and became a kind of safe haven. Connor's grandparents' cabin home in Germany was used as a training base for American soldiers.

Actor Eric Stoltz - famous for Pulp Fiction - will lead the cast.

Connor, who has made appearances in a variety of hit television shows, just finished filming A Single Woman and Waking Up with Monsters. Both films are due out later this year.
