Kate Gosselin Joins 'Dancing with the Stars'

Jon and Kate Plus Eight' star returns to reality TV.

Radar Online is reporting that reality TV star and mother of eight, Kate Gosselin, has signed on to join the cast of Dancing With The Stars next season.

This is not the first time Gosselin has attempted to return to reality television: she was cast as a member of a talk show panel that included Paula Dean, Lee Woodruff, and Rene Syler last year. However, she was cut from the show after producers decided she was "too controversial." Gosselin was also rumored to be attached to a dating show that would follow her attempts to find love after her failed marriage to ex-husband Jon Gosselin, but the project fizzled before ever taking off.

But now it seems that Gosselin has been able to put those setbacks behind her and finally find a regular spot back on the small screen.

"Kate's the kind of woman who will do whatever is necessary for her children. It's great for her to be on the show, but she did it ONLY in a way that benefits her family," said one insider.

Gosselin agreed to join the show only after her demands to be able to practice in Pennsylvania near her children were met. The rest of the celebrities joining the cast will be announced after The Bachelor season finale on ABC tonight.

Dancing With The Stars returns on March 22.
