Kate Hudson's dad calls her a brat in upcoming book

Bill Hudson, father of actress Kate Hudson, is coming out with a memoir which depicts his famous daughter in a less-than-flattering light.

The book, entitled 2 Versions: The Other Side of Fame and Family, is also expected to emphasize Hudson’s marriage to Kate’s mother, Goldie Hawn, as well as his relationship with their son, Oliver.

"Life in the spotlight is not without its consequences, and the Hudson family was no exception," the website for the new book reads.
Hudson and Hawn were married from 1976 until their divorce in 1980. Shortly afterward, Hawn met her current beau, actor Kurt Russell, whom Kate has long considered to be her father.

Bill had accused Kate of neglecting her Alzheimer’s-stricken grandmother in January and went on to call his daughter a spoiled brat.

"Kate doesn't have to talk to me and she doesn't have to give her a dime of her millions," he said. "All I want is for her to call and say, 'Hi grandma,' before it's too late… She should help her grandmother.

"I love Kate," he added. "but... She has done stuff which is just awful. She is a spoiled brat in my eyes and at the end of the day, she should meet her little sister. I should meet my grandchild and she should help her grandmother."

Kate and fiance Matt Bellamy recently welcomed son Bingham Bellamy in June. She also has another son, Ryder, with ex-husband Chris Robinson.

Bill’s book will be released Nov. 1.
