Kate Reminisces About Her Renewed Vows with Jon

One year later, and so much change.

A year may seem like a short period of time for some, but for Jon and Kate Gosselin of the hit television show, "Jon and Kate Plus 8," their lives, along with the lives of their children, have changed drastically.

Just a year ago, on August 12, Jon and Kate were renewing their wedding vows after nine years of marriage. But in June, after their ten-year anniversary and eight kids later, the couple let the world know they were separating and heading for divorce.

While it did not come as a shock to many, it did confirm the rumors that had been surrounding the unhappy couple.

Kate, who appeared on the "Today" show and was interviewed by Meredith Vieira, reminisced about renewing her vows in Hawaii with Jon last August. "You know, I go back very often to our vow renewal in Hawaii. I think very often of it, and in that moment, I meant those vows," a teary-eyed Kate told Vieira. "And there was no option for us other than to be together. And so much has changed."

Kate is right, so much has changed. Since the couple admitted their separation on their hit TV show on June 22, Jon has been seen out with different women, most of them close to ten years younger than him. While Jon has been spotted in the Hamptons, Kate has been seen taking care of their eight children, which include a set of twins and sextuplets.

After the interview took place, this past Thursday, reports swirled about police being called to their home in Pennsylvania. While no arrests took place, it is said that Kate called the police and she was ordered to leave the home after showing up without notice.

What does Jon have to say about the whole "misconception" on Thursday? "It was a miscommunication. Kate said she was coming home, and I said, 'Well, it's my time to spend with the kids.' I don't come home when she's with the kids, and vice versa -- and that's how it's supposed to be." Jon also goes on to say, Kate tried to "cry it up" in a plea with the officer to stay at the home.
