Kate Walsh to Return to "Grey's"

Since her show, Private Practice, will not resume production until the fall, Kate Walsh will return to Seattle Grace hospital for one episode this spring, ABC has confirmed.

Series creator and Executive Producer Shonda Rhimes is still working on the script, so the details of the context of Walsh's return are still unclear. Also uncertain at this time is the date that Walsh's Seattle return will air.

ABC will air five originals of Grey's beginning on April 24.

Private Practice, the Grey's Anatomy spinoff, has been a huge hit this season with Walsh starring as Dr. Addison Montgomery. It has been the second most-watched drama this season with 10.76 million viewers, and has been one of ABC's most consistent shows.

Walsh's return to Grey's figures to give the show a huge ratings boost, most likely during May sweeps.
