Kate Winslet and Leo DiCaprio Will Do It Again
Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are set to reunite for a drama about postwar disillusionment, DreamWorks movie studio announced Friday. The pair first worked together in 1997's blockbuster hit, Titanic. Since then, both actors have shared great success in the movie business.
Their new film, Revolutionary Road, will be directed by Winslet's husband, Sam Mendes. Mendes is a British filmmaker who won an Oscar for directing 1999's American Beauty.
Revolutionary Road is based on the 1961 novel by Richard Yates. The story is about a suburban couple caught between their dreams and their everyday, boring lives. The novel was named one of the top 100 novels of all time by Time magazine.
Hopefully, Winslet and DiCaprio can recreate the success of Titanic, which was the highest-grossing movie of all time. It raked in more than $1.8 billion in ticket sales. Winslet and DiCaprio were both nominated for Oscars this year-Winslet for Little Children and DiCaprio for Blood Diamond.
