Katherine Heigl Says Rumors of a Heightened Salary Are Untrue

Katherine Heigl denies salary demand rumors.

Allegedly, Katherine Heigl has been asking for a higher salary for her role in the upcoming ensemble film, titled Valentine's Day, but her rep says otherwise. SFGate.com comments that Heigl was supposedly dropped from the film when she asked to be paid upwards of $3 million for the picture, despite only having worked on the production for a fortnight. Heigl's publicist says that it was simply a decision of the actress to no longer take part in the film.

As Foxnews.com states, the film originally had cast a list of hard-hitting A-listers such as Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts and Shirley MacLaine. Apparently the producers at New Line Cinema had wanted Heigl to star in the film to begin with before the allegations of her wanting a raise had surfaced. Heigl's publicist reiterates that the claims are "ludicrous" and saying defensively that "early negotiations are a daily occurrence in this business."
