Katherine Heigl Throws Baby Shower for Ellen Pompeo

Pompeo and 25 guests gathered at Heigl's home to celebrate Pompeo's pregnancy.

Katherine Heigl hosted "Grey's Anatomy" costar Ellen Pompeo's baby shower, Saturday afternoon at her Los Angeles home, E! Online reports.

Rebecca Gayheart and fellow "Grey's" actors Kate Walsh and Sandra Oh were among the 25 guests in attendance at the outdoor event. The tables were decorated with pink floral arrangements and candles to celebrate the coming arrival of Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery's baby girl in October.

Pompeo wore a white dress and opened gifts wrapped in pink and yellow paper. The gifts included a toy mobile, organic hooded towels and an organic swaddle wrap. Most of the new baby items came from Sherman Oaks' Juvenile shop, where the expectant mother is registered.

According to Entertainment Tonight, this will be the first child for both Pompeo and music producer Ivery. The two were married in November 2007 by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg at New York's City Hall.
