Katherine Heigl Wants More Family Time

Heigl wants to spend more time with her daughter.

After rumors surfaced about whether or not she would return to Grey's Anatomy, Katherine Heigl decided that the only thing definite right now is wanting to keep mellow and spend more time caring for her daughter.

In September 2009, Heigl and her husband, singer Josh Kelley, adopted Naleigh, a special-needs child, from South Korea. Heigl took three months off from filming ABC's hit show for maternity leave, and realized that spending time with her family was most important.

Heigl is reportedly negotiating her way out of a Grey's Anatomy contract, and after three months leave, did not return to the Los Angeles set for work. Her character, Dr. Izzie Stevens, walked away from Seattle Grace Hospital, and fans are wondering if she will ever return.

On Thursday, March 18, Heigl accepted an award for Female Star of the Year in Las Vegas at the ShoWest convention. During Heigl's speech, her red dress strap snapped at the back, but she caught it before flashing the crowd. Before entering the press room, she managed to pin her strap back in place.

Heigl has starred in movies such as Knocked Up, The Ugly Truth, 27 Dresses, and ABC's hit show, Grey's Anatomy.
