Katy Perry Announces Tour
Katy Perry will embark on a 50-city world tour in 2009, E! reports. The venues will include large clubs and small theaters.
This is the first world tour for Perry, who will be singing tracks from her current album, One of the Boys. The tour starts January 23 in Seattle and will have the singer traveling to Europe for shows; she will then be back in the states to complete the jaunt on April 28 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
E! also reports that Alphabeat will be Perry's opening act during the North American leg, while 3OH!3 will be with her in Europe.
Perry's song, "I Kissed a Girl," was a smash on the Billboard charts, staying at Number 1 for seven weeks, and her new single, "Hot N Cold," is currently in the Top 5 for both sales and airplay.
The entire tour details and information are available on the singer's Web site, www.katyperry.com.
