Katy Perry is moving on.
Access Hollywood reported the “Teenage Dream” singer made her first official US appearance post-divorce to comedian Russell Brand last Friday night.
Perry was in Las Vegas at the Mirage hotel for 1 Oak nightclub’s grand opening weekend. She also co-hosted the event, which also included a GiveLove Charity benefit, with best friend Markus Molinari, the man behind jewelry brand J. Molinari.
According to E! Online, Perry tweeted her excitement about the event later that night.
"Happy to be supporting my best friend @MDMOLINARI & his j.molinari jewelry w/all my other besties in #VEGAS for a great cause @GiveLoveOrg," she wrote.
The 27-year-old also gave the charity’s cofounders, Patricia Arquette and Rosetta Getty, and board member, David Arquette, a check before heading inside the club.
GiveLove was founded to formulate temporary housing plans and improve sanitation systems in Haiti.
Perry was reportedly tried to maintain a very low profile while at the event, sitting at her VIP table and drinking cocktails with friends.
"Katy was pretty mellow," a source told E!. "The group that she was with was partying, but she barely got up and pretty much remained in one place all night."
She ended her night tweeting about the event and encouraging people to join the GiveLove cause.
"Thanks to everyone who helped out w/the @givelove event at Mirage & 1 Oak LV. Go to http://www.givelove.org to see how u can MAKE a difference!" she wrote early Saturday morning.
Good to know she’s slowly coming out of her split slump.
