Katy Perry Excited for Wedding, Describes Brand as Perfect Baby Daddy

Earlier this week, chart-topping recording artist Katy Perry took part in an interview to answer top-voted questions from the YouTube community. According to YouTube Moderator, 401,609 votes were cast and 20,500 questions were submitted, which is another indication of just how popular the “California Gurls” singer has become.

Perry, who is engaged to Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek funnyman Russell Brand, fell in love with more than just her fiancé’s sense of humor. “I think in marriage, when you’re picking a partner, one of the things to keep in mind is, ‘Would they be a good baby daddy?,’” she said during the interview. “And [Russell Brand will] be perfect.”

Although “California Gurls” became one of the most popular summer anthems of 2010, it turns out that the Santa Barbara native hopes to leave the West Coast and live in London with Brand in the future.

“I think I would probably go to London, and not just because of the fact I’ve got connections there, but because I like the constant evolution of the style and everything is so new,” Perry said to Contact Music.

While she expressed her opinion of Brand’s parental potential and her desire to eventually reside in London, Perry is not looking too far into the future. “We are excited to get married, of course,” she said.
