Katy Perry Makes Appearance In Las Vegas

Singer Katy Perry made her first red carpet appearance since the announcement of her breakup with husband Russell Brand Friday night in Las Vegas.

E!Online reports that Katy was in town for the GiveLove Charity event at the Mirage Hotel, which raised money to “develop temporary housing solutions and improved sanitation systems in Haiti.”

Perry was supporting her friend Markus Molinari, designer of J. Molinari jewelry.

"I told her about the cause and she wanted to support it," Molinari told Us Weekly. "We support each other and that's what friends do."

Rocking bright blue hair, Perry seemed to be having a good time.

“She was very bubbly and happy looking,” a source told Us Weekly.

On December 30 Russell Brand filed for divorce, ending a 14-month marriage. Brand has since gone on to talk negatively about Perry and their marriage in the press, and is reportedly already dating other women.

Other celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Michelle Trachtenberg and Shenae Grimes were also present.
