Katy Perry to Perform on the 'SNL' Premiere of its 36th Season
Katy Perry, whose hit summer single “California Girls” is nominated for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video at MTV’s upcoming Video Music Awards, has confirmed that she will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live’s 36th season premiere.
Before confirming her appearance on the comedy series, Perry hinted around via Twitter that she might perform on the show, stating she would love to be in a skit with SNL alumnus, Amy Poehler.
Perry later tweeted and added to her website that she would definitely be performing on the show’s premiere on September 25. The premiere will feature Poehler as well.
While reports have not been confirmed that Perry will be in any of the show’s skits, the singer’s past TV appearances indicate that she would be excellent in one of the show’s comedic sketches.
