We were lost without Buffy. We went crazy without Angel (especially the way THAT one ended). Premium channel buyers can at least see True Blood. What are the rest of us vampire-loving civilians to do?
CW has the answer for those of us that just can't bring ourselves to pay for HBO for one show. "The Vampire Diaries" have come to town, and it looks like they are staying for a while.
Having 4.8 million viewers on its opening night - with the NFL opening night having the Steelers play - is very impressive. Its numbers rivaled that of American Idol's finale last spring.
Not only was this a huge hit, but also it's the highest ranking debut in the history of the CW. Give the show a try, it just might bite.
