Kelis and Nas Have First Child With Divorce Looming

Kelis, famous for her song "Milkshake", has given birth to a boy named Knight Wednesday night in New York.

The boy weighed in at 7 lbs, 8 oz.

It's unclear whether rapper and father Nas was present during the birth, as he and Kelis recently announced their divorce. The baby's name is Knight Jones, after it was agreed upon that the boy would take his father's last name.

Kelis wrote on Twitter: "Okay I did it. 7.8 pounds of the greatest stuff on earth…I was in labor for three of the longest days of my life. I don't understand when women say they don't remember giving birth."

The child is Kelis's first. Nas has a 15-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
