Kelly Clarkson Cancels Upcoming Tour
American Idol alumness Kelly Clarkson disappointed fans today when she announced on her website that she would be canceling her summer tour. Lackluster ticket sales apparently led to the decision, which came on the heels of Clarkson's firing of her manager two days before.
Clarkson's new representation, Paul Freundlich, admitted in a news statement that the sales were less than what they'd hoped, and said that the tour is "on hold" while the magnitude of the production is re-evaluated, according to Fox News.
Clarkson is prepping for the release of her third album, titled "My December." In her statement to fans via her website, the singer said that touring is the part of the business she "looks forward to doing the most" and that deciding to cancel the arena tour was disappointing to her as well.
