Kelly Clarkson Makes History
Kelly Clarkson was gone from the music scene for too long. In March, the first American Idol will finally release her first album since 2007, titled "All I Ever Wanted."
But fortunately, the world can hear the first single now. "My Life Would Suck Without You" has been released. The song got onto the Billboard singles chart at number 97, according to the Los Angeles Times. From there, most singles begin to rise on the list. Well, it did a little more than that.
From its original place as 97th, the song skipped all the way up to number one, making music history as the largest leap in the history of the singles chart. This is just the type of event that RCA Records was hoping for as they've been hyping this single and the album for months.
Clarkson just barely breaks the record, with Britney Spears's "Womanizer" breaking the previous record in October with a jump from 96 to number one.
